Não, não vou falar da Tavi Confeitaria, pois essa tenho quase a certeza de que toda a gente conhece, vou antes falar da sua recente “irmã” – a Tavi Padaria.
E não é preciso ir muito longe, pois as duas ficam na mesma rua – na elegante Senhora da Luz, na Foz – e quase em frente uma à outra….

No, I will not talk about Tavi Confeitaria, as I assume everyone knows it, but I will talk about its recent “sister”, the Tavi Padaria (bakery).
And you don’t need to go ver far, as they both are located in the same street – the elegant Senhora da Luz, in Foz – and almost one in front of the other.

Na Tavi Padaria como o próprio nome indica o conceito é mais pão – aliás o espaço tomou o lugar de uma antiga padaria – mas lá não encontrará só pão.

Então, aberta desde Agosto de 2016, para além de ser uma tradicional padaria com uma grande variedade de pão diário (desde pão biju ao pão mais elaborado, de espelta, integral, etc…), a Tavi Padaria da Foz é também um local onde poderá parar para um almoço leve ou lanche mais pesado: há pizzas, focaccias, sandes diversas e salgados, e um menu do dia.
Tudo, num espaço amplo familiar e assumidamente mais descomprometido do que o espaço da confeitaria.

O Senhor Arnaldo, que há 40 anos nos atendia do outro lado, também está agora neste novo espaço para nos dar as boas vindas.

At Tavi Padaria as the name says, the main concept is about bread – it even is located in an ancient bakery – but there you will not only find bread.

So, opened since August 2016, being a traditional bakery with daily fresh different types of bread (from the normal bread to other types of bread like spelt or whole bread), Tavi Padaria da Foz is also a place where you can go for a quick lunch or a midday snack: there are pizzas, focaccias, an assortment of salty pastries and sandwiches, and a daily menu.
Everything served in a familiar space assumingly more relaxed than the space from the confeitaria.

Senhor Arnaldo, the “face” from the other Tavi for 40 years, si also there to welcome us.

Eu já fui até lá almoçar e, apesar de ter ficado tentada com as pizzas, optei por uma focaccia – e escolhi muito bem. A massa é óptima e fofinha!
Mas pelo que tenho ouvido dizer, qualquer outra escolha teria sido boa – por isso ninguém se arrependerá se for até lá almoçar, tenho a certeza!

But I have been heard, any other choice would have been great, so you will not regret going there for lunch!
