Diria que o Porto já não pode passar sem o North Music Festival, um festival que tem a Alfândega do Porto como palco, numa envolvência privilegiada entre o rio Douro e a zona histórica do Porto.
Dois dias de festival, onde nomes de peso como Bush, Emir Kusturica, Bastille e Franz Ferdinand levaram ao rubro a multidão presente no recinto, mas onde grupos portugueses como os Expensive Soul ou Capitão Fausto souberam bem celebrar a magia do lugar com performances à altura e a aquecer o local.
Para o ano queremos mais, pois, num Porto que sabe bem acolher novos formatos, e que sabe também valorizar quando esses formatos estão à altura da cidade. Parabéns.

I would say Porto can no longer exist without the North Music Festival, a festival that has Alfândega do Porto as stage, in a privileged surrounding between Douro river and the historical part of the city.
Two days of festival, where weight names such as Bush, Emir Kusturica, Bastille and Franz Ferdinand conquered the crowd, but also where portuguese groups as Expensive Soul or Capitão Fausto knew very well how to celebrate the magic of the place with top performances and warming up he place.
Next year we want more, of course, in a porto that knows well how to welcome new formats, and that also knows when to value these when they are up to the city. Congratulations!

Gosto de festivais assim.
Onde há espaço, diversidade e onde tudo flui. Foi exactamente isso que senti nesta edição do North Music Festival 2019, (a terceira) , onde se pôde circular à vontade, desfrutar das majestosas vistas e claro, ouvir boa música.
Com uma afluência de público que foi aumentando à medida em que as horas iam passando e se aproximava a hora dos cabeças de cartaz, o festival gozou de dois dias gloriosos com tempo perfeito (nem esteve muito frio nem muito calor) e com lotação quase esgotada.

I love these kind of festivals.
Where we can have space, diversity and where everything flows. That was exactly what I felt at this edition of North Music Festival 2019(third edition) – we could free circulate, seizing the magnificent views, and of course, listen to good music.
Public was getting dense as the day was passing, and time of major concerts were about to begin. The festival could seize of two slendorous days with perfect weather (nor too cold neither too hot ) and almost sold out.

O recinto

3 Palcos
O recinto do festival estava dividido em 3 palcos – o palco principal, um palco indoor e um palco sunset, com DJ.

Alimentação
3 praças de alimentação, duas dentro e uma fora – com diversas opções de street food – e vários pontos de bebidas, com cerveja, wine bars e cocktails.
De salientar que não foram esquecidas as opções vegetarianas (yey!) , mas a meu ver faltaram mais opções que fugissem ao fast food….(eu sei que em festivais deste género não é fácil….)

Animação
Possibilidade de se fazer a barba, de se fazer tatuagens ou maquilhagem, tirar fotografias, participar em alguns passatempos (um deles que dava a oportunidade de se fazer um passeio de barco durante o festival)  e a oportunidade para grupos jovens tocarem ao vivo, a acontecer logo na primeira entrada do recinto.

The place 

3 Stages
The festival location was divided into three stages – the main stage, one indoor stage and one sunset stage with DJ.

Food
Three food courts, (two inside, one outside) – with different street food options – and several drinking spots (beer, wine bar and cocktails).
To mention the fact that a there were also vegetarian options (yey) but was missing more options besides fast food…. (I know it is not easy at these kind of festivals…!)

Animation
A barber, a tattoo spot and make up spot, taking pictures. and some other activities and games (with possibility to get on a boat during the festival) and the opportunity for young groups to play live, right at one of the entrances.

Expensive Soul

A comemorar 20 anos de carreira, os Expensive Soul souberam enaltecer o público e tornar mágico o entardecer, que se despedia luminoso e com a Ponte da Arrábida ao fundo.

Celebrating 20 years of career, Expensive Soul knew how to conquer the public, and how to turn the  sunset into a magic moment, a sunset that was flowing luminous and with Ponte da Arrábida as a view.

Bush

Bush encerrou a primeira noite com um grande concerto, numa atução calorosa e de entrega ao público, numa Alfândega que vibrou  e correspondeu.
As expectativas para o segundo dia ficaram, então, altas.
