Bombarda à Rua é uma iniciativa local do Quarteirão das Artes – Quarteirão Miguel Bombarda – também conhecido pelo Bombarda Porto Art District, para voltar a dinamizar o comércio local, atraindo mais pessoas às ruas e fazendo mexer a economia local, nestes tempos Covid_19.
Eu andei por lá a passear!

Bombarda à Rua is a local initiative by the Art Neighbourhood – Miguel Bombarda Neighbourhood – also known as the Bombarda Porto Art District  , to bring back life to the local business, attracting more people to the streets and getting local economy vibrant again, in this Covid_19 era.
I passed by and had great fun!

Primeiro dia de Agosto, sábado, e um tempo estranho que não convidava para a praia.
Deixei então a ideia de vestir o bikini de lado, e depois de um belo pequeno almoço tardio aqui pelos lados de Matosinhos, decidi rumar ao Porto, afinal havia muito por lá a acontecer.

Entre outros eventos, a despoletar ruas cheias de vida outra vez, era também dia do Bombarda à Rua, uma nova iniciativa do Quarteirão das Artes, para trazer movimento àquele quarteirão, chamando pessoas e atenção para a importância do dinamismo do comércio local, e que consistiu em trazer várias lojas em pequenas bancas para a rua.

O sol entretanto abriu, eu levei a minha nova câmara para me habituar a fotografar com ela  (ao fim de longos e bons anos a fotografar com uma Canon, comprei uma Fuji….) e deambulei um pouco por aquela zona do Porto da qual sempre gostei particularmente, e que ontem ganhava uma nova dinâmica, com mais zonas pedonais e um carisma muito especial.

Um passeio que soube bem, num quarteirão de lojas e ruas bonitas,
venha o próximo Bombarda à Rua!

First day of August, saturado, and a strange weather that was not inviting to the beach.
So I left the idea of dressing the bikini, and after a great late breakfast here in Matosinhos, I headed to Porto, as I knew there was a lot going on there.

Besides other events, bringing back life to the streets again, it was day for a first initiative called Bombarda à Rua, organised by Porto Art District, in order to bring more movement to that neighbourhood, calling people and more attention to the importance of the dynamic of local business – consisting on bringing some shops to the street.

Meanwhile the sun appeared, I took my new camera to test it (after long good years photographing with a Canon, I bought a Fuji….) and strolled around that area in Porto, area that i always liked particularly, and that gained yesterday a new dynamic, with more car free areas, and a special charisma.

It was a great Saturday afternoon, in a neighbourhood full of nice shops and streets,
let’s wait for the next Bombarda à Rua!
