Um festival que alia vinho, música e gastronomia, num cenário idílico e em plena época das vindimas – na Região do Douro.
A primeira edição deste festival decorreu nos passados dias 14 e 15 de Setembro, no porto comercial de Cambres, e a organização já anunciou: O Wine & Music Valley regressará em 2020!

A festival gathering wine, music and gastronomy, in an idyllic scenery and right during harvest time – taking place at Douro Region.
The first edition of this festival took place last September 14 and 15th, at the commercial port of Cambres, and the festival’s organisation already announced: The Wine & Music Valley will be back in 2020!

Segundo a organização do evento, estiveram presentes nesta primeira edição do Wine & Music Valley cerca de 17500 pessoas, 5% das quais oriundas de países como a Espanha, França, Inglaterra, Estados Unidos e Canadá.

Um evento que contou com 84 produtores de vinhos da região demarcada do Douro, Chefs conceituados e detentores de estrela Michelin como o Chef Vítor Matos – do restaurante Antiquvm Porto), Rui Paula, – restaurante DOP e Casa de Chá da Boa Nova, Tiago Bonito – da Casa da Calçada em Amarante (entre outros)

Nos Palcos Douro Stage e Wine Stage, a música esteve por conta de nomes nacionais e internacionais, como António Zambujo, Tainá, Salvador Sobral, Black Mamba, Mariza e Bryan Ferry (no primeiro dia) , e Carolina Deslandes, Xutos e Pontapés, Wet Bed Gang e Seu Jorge, no segundo.

According to the event organisation, this first edition of the Wine and Music Valley festival received around 17500 people, being 5% of them from Spain, France, United Kingdom, USA and Canadá.

An event that had the presence of 84 wine producers (from the douro region), top Chefs awarded with michelin stars likeas Chef Vítor Matos – Antiquvm Restaurant in Porto – Chef Rui Paula – DOP and Casa de CHá da Boa Nova, and Chef Tiago Bonito, from Casa da Calçada in Amarante (among others).

Com uma carreira ainda a começar (ao contrário dos outros grupos) fez as honras de encher de melodia o início da tarde do primeiro dia do festival.

Ainda durante a luz do dia atuaram no palco principal António Zambujo, que deu início às atuações no Douro Stage, seguido de Salvador Sobral.
Um calor imenso, que por esta altura (18h, mais ao menos) foi aliviado por uma forte chuvada de pingas grossas.

“Festival molhado, festival abençoado”, e que bem que a mim me soube a chuva…..

Still during daylight, took place the performance of António Zambujo, who opened the performances at Douro Stage, followed by Salvador Sobral.
It was intensely hot by that time (around 6 pm) but it was lighted by a heavy rain.

“Wet festival. blessed festival”, and for me it felt really great the rain…..

Mariza, Douro Stage

Bryan Ferry, Douro Stage

Um gentleman, este Bryan Ferry, a dar um concerto genial e revivalista.
Era o último concerto da sua tournée, tocou durante uma hora e meia, trazendo velhos êxitos intemporais como Slave to Love, More than This, Avalon, entre outros.
Bryan Ferry tem 74 anos.

A gastronomia dividiu-se entre atuações de Chefs, ao vivo, e da possibilidade de se provarem (mediante pagamento, claro) iguarias já pré preparadas por todos os Chefs intervenientes.
Numa outra área do recinto, diversos Food Trucks ofereciam mais opções gastronómicas.

At another area , a great choice of Food Trucks with several food options was available.

Apenas reportei o primeiro dia do festival, pois com muita pena não pude estar presente no segundo dia.
A noite, após atuação de Bryan Ferry seguiu com fogo de artifício, e com a atuação de Djs, aos quais também já não assisti.
