Grande Hotel de Paris, now belonging to Stay Hotels

Já tinha falado sobre a cadeia Stay Hotels no post anterior e agora conto a segunda novidade: esta mesma cadeia comprou o Grande Hotel de Paris, um Hotel de 3 estrelas situado na Rua da Fábrica, e que é simplesmente o Hotel mais antigo do Porto, tendo completado este mês de Novembro, 140 anos. O Hotel, decorado bem ao estilo francês, vai entrar agora em remodelações, mantendo no entanto a sua traça original (palavra da cadeia Stay Hotels ) 🙂
I had spoken about Stay Hotels on the post before, and here is the second news: this chain has bought Grande Hotel de Paris, a 3 stars hotel located at Rua da Fábrica, with the particularity that it is the most ancientHotel in porto, and completed this month 140 years. The Hotel, that is decorated in a french style, will be restored, but will maintain its style. (promise by Stay Hotels) 🙂

O Grande Hotel de Paris já tinha sido em tempos alvo de um post no meu blog, desta vez regressei a convite da Stay Hotels para ficar a par das novidades.
Assim, este Hotel oitocentista e famoso pela sua traça e decoração estilo Belle Epoque, irá entrar em remodelações a partir do próximo ano, remodelaões que incluirão um aumento para o edifício do lado,

A traça do hotel será mantida, e com certeza continuará a sobressair a enorme sala de refeições comum onde para já apenas são servidos pequenos-almoços. (ou em caso pontuais, para alguns eventos, como neste caso, em que lá estive para um almoço).

Grande Hotel de Paris has been already featured on a blogpost of mine, this time I came back to the Hotel by invitation of Stay Hotels to get to know all the news.
So, this Hotel that is famous by its Belle Époque decoration, will start being restored beginning next year, and it will include the occupation of a neighbour building.

The style will be maintained, and for sure the huge common meals room will be highlighted, but it will go on serving only breakfasts, or in particular cases for some private events (as in this case, that I was there for a lunch)

A Lígia Santos, para quem não conhece é a vencedora da primeira edição Masterchef Portugal – deslocou-se neste dia ao Grande Hotel de Paris para nos presentear com um live cooking – um risotto de cogumelos e alheira – ou melhor …., em minha honra que não como alheira o live cooking foi apenas um risotto de cogumelos, para eu poder comer – obrigada Lígia! 🙂 – sendo que o almoço para os restantes convidados foi depois risotto de cogumelos e alheira.

Estava delicioso, bem como tudo o resto da refeição.

Lígia Santos , if you don’t know is the first Portuguese Masterchef – was this day at Grande Hotel de Paris for a live cooking – mushroom risotto – that was only mushroom so that I could eat 🙂 – thank you Lígia – but for lunch the rest of the guests had the complete recipe – mushrooms and “alheira” risotto.

It was delicious, as well as the complete meal.
